Day 1Arrive Ahmedabad
Welcome to your 'Colors of Gujarat' tour. On arrival at the airport / railway station in Ahmedabad, you will be met and transferred to the hotel.Enjoy a half day city tour of Ahmedabad.Later, in the afternoon proceed on a half day city tour of Ahmedabad visiting Sabarmati Ashram , Vechaar Utensils Museum, the Jama Mosque and Akshardham Temple.Sabarmati Ashram, formerly known as Satyagraha Ashram, situated on the banks of the Sabarmati River was founded in 1917. It was second home to Mahatma Gandhi.Jama Mosque revered as the oldest and most beautiful of all mosques of Ahmedabad, Jama Masjid was built in 1423 by King Ahmed Shah I, founder of the city.Established in the year 1992,the Akshardham Temple is one of the largest and most prominent temples in the state of Gujarat.This mammoth 10-storey high structure enshrines the golden murt of Lord Swaminarayan, the founder of the Swaminarayan Faith. It is made entirely of intricately carved, 6000 tons of pink sandstone, with no steel or iron used at all. The temple complex encompasses lush gardens spread over 15 acres. Another attraction is the sound and light show, which takes visitors through various facets of Hinduism.Built in 1981 within the premises of the Vishalla Village Restaurant is the Vechaar Utensils Museum, housing an amazing collection of rare utensils.Post sightseeing, transfer to the hotel.The rest of the evening is at leisure.
Day 3AHMEDABAD BHAVNAGAR 175 KM APPROX. 5 HOURS DRIVE
Enjoy an excursion to Palitana.This morning, enjoy an excursion to Palitana to visit various temples located on top of the Shatrunjaya Hill. Consisting of 863 temples, it is the largest cluster of Jain temples.These temples ascend from the base of the hill to the top of the hill.Climb over 3500 steps and see detailed carvings at each temple grouped into nine enclosures.Breakfast at the Hotel.The rest of the day is at leisure.
Day 5BHAVNAGAR SASAN GIR 220 KM APPROX. 6 HOURS DRIVE
This morning, proceed to Sasan Gir, home to the Asiatic Lion.On arrival, check in to the hotel.Breakfast,Lunch,Dinner.The rest of the day is at leisure to relax or you can opt to visit the Sasan Gir Museum.
Day 7Sasan Gir Diu 100 Kms 3Hrs Drive
Today, your journey takes you to one of India's undiscovered gems where the sand, sea and sky meet in harmony, Diu.On arrival, check in to the hotel.BreakfastThe rest of the day is at leisure to laze and relax on the beach.
Day 9Depart Diu
Today, bid farewell to your 'Colors of Gujarat tour', as you are transferred from hotel in Diu to the railway station in Veraval for your onward journey.
Enjoy an excursion to Modhera Sun Temple and Patan.This morning, proceed on an excursion to the Sun Temple at Modhera that dates back to the early 11th century.Built in 1026 AD by King Bhimdev of the Solanki dynasty, the relics at the sun temple is dedicated to the natural elements fire, air, earth, water and sky alongside the sculptures of many gods.Later, visit Patan famous for Jain temples, one of the most important being the Mahavir Swami Derasar in Dhandherwad.Also, visit the Rani ki Vav, an excellent example of subterranean architecture of Gujarat.Breakfast at Hotel.The rest of the evening is at leisure for independent activities.

Day 6Sasan Gir
Visit the Kamleshwar Dam.Later, visit the Kamleshwar Dam that presents a panoramic view of Gir hills and forest.The reservoir created by the dam is known for its large population of crocodiles and is a good spot to observe water birds.Breakfast,Dinner,Lunch.The morning is at leisure or one can enjoy a morning jeep safari at Gir National Park.Gir National Park is the sole home for pure Asiatic lions, situated about 65 Kilometers south east of Junagarh district in the Indian state of Gujarat.Primarily the park was dedicated to conserve the Asiatic Lion which is identified as world most endangered species.Note The park is open from 16th October to 15th June.The rest of the day is at leisure or one can enjoy an afternoon jeep safari at Gir National Park.
Enjoy a sightseeing tour of Diu.After breakfast, proceed for a sightseeing tour of Diu, which includes a visit to Nagoa Beach, St. Paul's Church, St. Thomas Church, Diu Fort.Shaped like a horseshoe, Nagoa Beach is located in the Nagoa hamlet of the Bucharwada village. This serene and secluded palm-fringed beach stretches about two km from one end to the other.The beach is surrounded by dense groves of the unique Hoka-palm trees, which are found only on the island of Diu.Dedicated to Our Lady of Immaculate Conception, St. Paul Church was built between 1601 and 1610. Named after St. Paul, the apostle of Jesus Christ, it resembles the Bom Jesus Church of Goa. Its baroque style of architecture, elaborate gothic facade, intriguing volutes, shell-like motifs and artistically carved woodwork make it one of the most elaborate of all Portuguese churches in India. The gigantic church of St. Thomas, originally built in 1598, was converted into a museum in 1998.Today, known as the Diu Museum, is a repository of important archaeological exhibits including antique statues, stone inscriptions, wooden carvings, idols, shadow-clocks and several other important artifacts.Surrounded by the sea on the three sides, the Diu Fort is an imposing structure that dominates the towns and offers a magnificent view of the sea.The fort with its double moat, cannons, stone cisterns, chapels and barracks was known to provide a strategic vantage point against enemy attacks.Breakfast at the Hotel.The rest of the day is at leisure to explore the city.
